Joining Old & Young for a Brighter Financial Future (J.O.Y.) is a 501c3 charitable organization.

Our Mission Statement:

The organization seeks to heighten self-esteem in its young clients by helping them to grow academically.  It also seeks to aid clients in their growth as responsible citzens by offering them financial education.

J.O.Y. seeks to educate children about financial literacy, money management, the value and process of saving, smart way to borrow, how to set goals, how to spend wisely and how to invest.

Our Vision:

J.O.Y. vision includes a wide range of activities, such as financial literacy classes for youth and seminars on various aspects of financial planning for adults.

Our Goal:

Our goal is to recruit at least 500 young people per year from the Urban Community to become involved in this project.  We offer curriculum that will equip children in learning financial empowerment.

Our History:

J.O.Y. was founded by a dozen grandparents who were interested in investing in their grandchildren.  These grandparents generously provided funding and the Wildridge family donated their income tax refund from 1999 to start this organization. We also established a collaboration with KAIPERM Federal Credit Union to help our organization with office space for working with children on financial literacy.
